Mountain Bike Tour on Mount Etna
Discovering the paths of Mount Etna while cycling is an an unforgettable experience and Alcantara Body Rafting on a Mountain Bike will make you make live a super adventure along single trails, woods, lunar landscapes, stretches of river and off-road trails through the lemon fields of the Alcantara valley near the famous Alcantara gorges. We will make you live a breathtaking down hill of fifty kilometers from 2000 meters to the sandy beaches of the coast of Taormina and Giardini Naxos, and there will be time to stop for a dip in the Gurne and to eat a packet lunch.

With our car we will pick you up from your hotel and in 45 minutes we will reach Piano Provenzana on the north-eastern side of mount Etna at an altitude of 1850 meters, from here we will begin to move along a sandy trail that winds for 5 kilometers passing next to some craters, up to a paved road at an altitude of 1650 meters that we will follow for a few kilometers before starting an incredible stretch of double trail through the Etna woods. Next we'll cycle down hill for 12 km to an altitude of 900 meters were we will start a small up hill for 3 km. and we will cross the old railroad tunnels up to the hillside village of Castiglione di Sicila and then down along a dirty trail to the natural pools the "Gurne" along the Alcantara River where we will stop for lunch and take a dip. After lunch we will continue through stretches of paved secondary roads and off-road single trails through the citrus groves of the Alcantara valley to the sandy beaches of Giardini-Naxos .
